My experience

I have lived and worked in New Zealand for more than a decade, helping Engineering and Senior professionals make great career choices and partnering with businesses to build and execute talent strategies which power them ahead of their competitors.

In 2004 I emigrated from the UK and joined a Fortune 500 global recruitment company as an Engineering Recruiter based in Christchurch. Initially my client base grew across the high-tech manufacturing sector, where I worked with some of New Zealand’s most innovative companies. I then expanded into the broader Engineering disciplines primarily focusing on Civil, Energy, Manufacturing and R&D. After building a loyal client base and consistently delivering great outcomes for the candidates that I worked with, I moved into a recruitment management role. Here I led a large team of Technical Recruiters across the IT and Engineering sectors. I was then promoted into my first national management role in 2011, where I managed multiple branches across New Zealand.

During this time, I won recognition for my work in the consulting, design, implementation and management of large outsourced recruitment process models (RPO). These scalable solutions focused on the identification, attraction and on-boarding of hard-to-find talent within the Communications and Construction Project Management Sectors. In 2013 I moved into a Group General Manager role that formed part of an ANZ Executive Leadership Team, before taking up my role as Director IT & Engineering with The Talent Hive in mid 2014.

From graduates to gurus and from fledgling start-ups to large corporate’s, my consultative approach has delivered a track record of success across an extensive network of New Zealand candidates and clients.
